They are known as the protectors of sea.
They are known as the night hawks of sea. They make us safe from
pirates, they make us feel that our coast is guarded and we need not
worry. Definitely, they are called as
coast guards.
With this we cannot forget the festival, which started on Monday for them with arrival of many ships on Escanaba Park, where people
in huge number gathered to see them. Some of them also lined up with
chairs to have a glimpse of same. Till the coast guard festival runs,
all ships will be stationed at Grand Haven so that general public can
visit them. These ships are open to general public on Monday, Tuesday
and Wednesday for 6:00 am To 8:00 pm, but they will open for pre planned
time slots too on Saturday. Two of university of Michigan research
vessels reached on time, Rest was expected to arrive late. Children, who
had come to see it, were too much excited and some of them were
chanting and singing waiting for ships to come. Air was full of love and
excitement and people constantly waved American flags.
Also they
were waving coast guards and Canadian flags in air. Canada and U.S has
been working jointly on the Great Lakes, where four lakes shoreline
passes both in both the countries. This is one of important festival for them which started back in 1924 to honor the hard work and
sacrifice. Every year, plethora of public visits it and
takes a glimpse of coast guards life. This festival is attended by all

This festival shows the life of

and their hard work which is unmatched. It is one best way to show
respect. Also, for their sacrifice they should be honored with coast
guard challenge coins. These
challenge coins are symbol of
pride and dignity which a coast guard without any doubt deserves. These
coins will be storage for the beautiful memories to him. They do all sorts of tedious operation on sea facing
the deathly waves, just to protect us, thus their life is very
challenging and engaging. They save us from pirates, protect the coast
from external entities. Also they help great deal to protect our natural
resources. They make the island safe and livable. Hence, honoring them
with
challenge coins is an excellent idea. In this way they can cherish it for lifetime; not only they but also their family and friends.
