Air was full of love and excitement and people constantly waved American flags.

Also they were waving coast guards and Canadian flags in air. Canada and U.S has been working jointly on the Great Lakes, where four lakes shoreline passes both in both the countries. This is one of important festival for them which started back in 1924 to honor the hard work and sacrifice. Every year, plethora of public visits it and takes a glimpse of coast guards life. This festival is attended by all high ranking official. It includes many events like light house guild, YMCA coast guard run, Kids parade, red carpet photo, playing out loud, free hotdog lunch, hometown idol, Cruise in Car Show, Bicycle Tour, Worship on the Waterfront, Grand Haven Rotary Pancake Breakfast, CG Festival Community Picnic, USCG Ships Arrivals, Annabelle Road, Downtown Carnival, Coast Guard Retirees Dinner, Ship Tours at Escanaba Park, Softball Championship Game, Fireworks Extravaganza, USCG Auxiliary Memorial Service etc whole 10 days are full of fun and excitement.

This festival shows the life of coast guard and their hard work which is unmatched. It is one best way to show respect.
